What is the Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program?

The Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP) educates, counsels and empowers older adults and individuals with disabilities, to make informed health benefit decisions. MMAP, Inc. works through the Area Agencies on Aging to provide high quality and accessible health benefit information and counseling, supported by a statewide network of unpaid and paid skilled professionals.

What Does MMAP Do?

MMAP is a free, unbiased, volunteer-staffed service which assists Medicare beneficiaries who have problems or questions about Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicare Part D enrollment, Long-Term Care Insurance and related issues. MMAP provides these services through the sixteen Area Agencies on Aging offices in Michigan.
