SHIP State Health Insurance Assistance Program

What is the State Health Insurance Assistance Program?

The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), which was formerly known as MMAP, educates, counsels, and empowers older adults and individuals with disabilities to make informed health benefits decisions. SHIP works through the Area Agencies on Aging to provide high-quality and accessible health benefit information and counseling, supported by a statewide network of unpaid and paid skilled professionals.
