The services and organizations listed are provided as a resource to identify in-home services for seniors. Only providers that have a relationship (funding or contractual) with AAAWM are listed.

Adult Day Service
Daytime care for functionally impaired elderly persons provided through a structured program of social and rehabilitative services.
Bathing and Personal Care services are sometimes provided-inquire at individual organizations.
Programs intended to provide assistance to caregivers in understanding and coping with a broad range of issues associated with caregiving. Examples are education programs on the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of caregiving as well as current research and public policy concerns. Support activities for caregivers including support groups, counselling and connection with community resources. Also training programs pertaining to techniques for providing personal care services to care recipients.

Community Living Supports (i.e. Personal Care and Homemaking)
Community Living Supports facilitate an individual's independence and promote reasonable participation in the community. This may include meal preparation, laundry or assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating and personal hygiene).
Nutritious meals served in various locations. Lunch is often coordinated with a variety of activities such as exercise programs, cards, crafts, bingo, games, health screenings and nutrition education.
Professional level counseling services seek to improve the individual's emotional and social well-being through the resolution of personal problems and/or change in an individual's social situation.
Elder Abuse Prevention Education
Programs for the prevention and treatment of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Presentations are made to aging subcontract organizations, professional and paraprofessional groups through community outreach and public education. Case consultation with other local agencies such as Adult Protective Services, Department of Human Services, law enforcement, health care professionals, and community mental health.
Grandparent Support Group
Support services in kinship care situations where an individual aged 60 or over is the primary caregiver for a child no more than 18 years old. Kinship support services include respite care, education, support and training provided at locations other than the client’s residence.
Healthy Aging Programs
Programs designed to be an effective tool in improving the health of older adults. Programs now being offered include: Strength and Stretch, A Matter of Balance, EnhanceFitness, Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, Tai Chi and Diabetes PATH. To find a schedule of classes, click here
Home Delivered Meals
Home delivered meals service is the provision of at least one nutritionally sound meal per day to persons who are dependent, aged, or physically disabled and unable to care for their nutritional needs. The unit of service is one meal delivered to the client's home that provides a minimum of one-third of the current recommended dietary allowance for the age group as established by the Food and Nutritional Board of the National Research Counsel of the National Academy of Sciences.
In Home Respite
Services provided to participants unable to care for themselves that are furnished on a short-term basis to provide relief to a caregiver. Services are provided in the individual's home.
Provision of legal advice, counseling, and representation by an attorney to low-income older adults.
Long Term Care Ombudsman
Assists residents and prospective residents of long-term care facilities in understanding their rights and resolving complaints to improve care.
