Kent County Senior Millage:
Kent County voters approved the senior millage in 1998 for a period of eight years and again in 2006. The Kent County Senior Millage will be a ballot issue again on August 5, 2014. Voters are being asked to renew and slightly increase the millage from 1/3 of a mill to 1/2 mill. which will cost the average homeowner $12.50 more per year (based on a $150,000 home).

Kent County contracts with the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan to administer the millage dollars. In 2014, $6,111,650 will provide funding for 45 unique services for older adults.
