Older Americans Act Providers
How to become an Older Americans Act Provider:
Every three years an open proposal process provides any incorporated entity the opportunity to submit a proposal to provide one or more of the defined fundable services. If an agency is selected, their contract will remain in effect for 3 years though funding can vary from year to year. The next open proposal process is spring of 2013.
Funding Process:
The current three year funding process began in spring of 2009. Proposals were accepted from incorporated entities and reviewed by the Proposal Review Committee (PRC) made up of AAAWM Board and Advisory Council members. A short proposal presentation was made to the PRC and considered with the proposal when they made their funding recommendation to the AAAWM Advisory Council and AAAWM Board of Directors.
Three year contracts were awarded for FY 2010 – 2012. Funding levels for services accredited annually by the PRC based on availability of State and Federal dollars. The three year funding cycle (FY 2010 – 2012) has been extended for one year. The next open funding process will begin in spring 2013. Any agency interested in being placed on the proposer list can send their information to aaainfo@aaawm.org
