AAAWM Annual Giving Tree

12/7/2016 1:00pm

Would you like to make Christmas a little brighter for one of our clients? Each year we host the AAAWM Giving Tree to provide Christmas gifts for our home bound clients. For many this is the only Christmas gift they will receive. If you are interested in helping, please purchase a Meijer gift card for $20 or $25 and mail or hand deliver it to our office no later than Wednesday, December 14, 2016. We are also accepting cash or check donations (please designate on checks that they are for the 2016 Giving Tree). Thanks for helping us spread holiday cheer this season

Annual Giving Tree Accepting Donations

10/20/2015 11:00am

Christmas may only be 65 days away, but donations for our Annual Giving Tree are due in just 43 days! Our Annual Giving Tree project provides our program participants with a special gift during the holiday season. Many of these older adults and individuals with disabilities have limited informal support from family and friends and are so grateful when they open up their gift.  Monetary donations, Meijer, and Wal-Mart gifts cards ($20 or $25 amounts) must be mailed or delivered to our office (3215 Eaglecrest Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525) by December 3rd. Thank you so much for thinking of our clients this holiday season!

Annual Giving Tree Update

12/22/2014 2:30pm

Thank you to everyone who donated to the AAAWM Giving Tree this year. Due to your generosity we were able to provide gift cards to 190 of our in-home care clients. As you may know, many of these individuals would not receive anything for the holidays without our Giving Tree program. Thank you for including our clients in your holiday donations.

Giving Tree Donation Deadline Extended

12/2/2013 1:15pm

Donations to the AAAWM Giving Tree will now be accepted through December 6, 2013. Read the information below for more details on the AAAWM Giving Tree program.

Every year the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan partners with the community to provide a Christmas gift for individuals participating in our Care Management and MI Choice Medicaid Waiver programs. For many of the individuals with disabilities and older adults that we serve, this may be their only Christmas present. This year we are asking for donations of Meijer or Wal-Mart gift cards in either $20 or $25 amounts or monetary donations of any amount. Our Care Managers will distribute the gift cards to the individuals during the month of December. Cash donations will go towards the purchase of additional gift cards and all of the funds donated to the AAAWM Giving Tree will go directly to gifts for participants.

The deadline to donate is December 6, 2013. Checks should be made payable to AAAWM with “2013 Giving Tree” in the memo line. Check and gift cards can be mailed or dropped off to 3215 Eaglecrest Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 Attn: Giving Tree.

Thank you for your support and for helping make the holidays a little brighter for our program participants!
