Family Caregiver University Holds First Class
The Family Caregiver University held its first class Wednesday, “Fall Prevention and Home Safety.” The topic was presented by Michelle Howard (Holland Home), Joanne Feutz (Disability Advocates) and Barb Nelson Jandernoa (Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan). Thirteen caregivers attended the class and the feedback was very positive. All those who attended learned new skills to make their home safer for the person they are caring for.
The next session, February 18, will focus on first aid and emergency preparedness. For more information on the February class, or future monthly classes, visit www.caregiverresource.net. Family Caregiver University is a new initiative of the Caregiver Resource Network.
