Millage Funding: 

The Kent County Millage Review Committee allocated $6,469,368 for 44 different older adult services for 2011.                                                                  

The Kent County Millage Review Committee (made up of older adults, three Kent County Commissioners and one county staff), accepted requests and listened to presentations from organizations in the fall of 2010. They also solicited feedback from Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan staff who work closely with the Senior Millage funded organizations. The recommendations go to two committees for approval before the Kent County Board of Commissionersmakes the final approval of the Review Millage Committee’s recommendations.
