Lake County Home Delivered Meals Services
Home delivered meals service
is the provision of at least one nutritionally sound meal per day to
persons who are dependent, aged, or physically disabled and unable to care
for their nutritional needs. The unit of service is one meal delivered to
the client's home that provides a minimum of one-third of the current
recommended dietary allowance for the age group as established by the Food
and Nutritional Board of the National Research Counsel of the National
Academy of Sciences.
