Caregiver Respite Certificates:
Caregiver Respite Certificates provide family caregivers with a break from caring for someone who cannot be left alone.
Caregiving can be stressful and challenging and taking time away from the situation is helpful and healthy. In fact, having some time for yourself can help individuals be better caregivers.
What is a Respite Certificate?
Caregiver Respite Certificates can either bring professional caregivers into the home or have the care recipient attend an Adult Day Center. This allows family caregiver some alone time in order to run errands or just relax. The certificates are available through specific agencies and care is provided by organizations that adhere to Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan’s rules and regulations.
