Caregiver Support Group

Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan (AAAWM) hosts a support group through the Alzheimer's Association for those who are caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. These support groups are designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for the caregiver. Meetings help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems, encourage caregivers to mainting their own personal, physical and emotional health and optimally care for those with dementia.

The group meets the second Friday of the month at the AAAWM office (3215 Eaglecrest Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525) from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. and the facilitator is Julie Alicki, AAAWM Social Work Consultant.
